FLUENT Reader Overview

With the EnSight 8.2.6g, CEI has improved the FLUENT reader in the following ways:

Faster data loading:  5-13 times faster from CEI's internal testing

More complete    

• Correct variable names
• Node ids and element ids are included. Node ids are created from the coordinate global node.  Element ids are arbitrarily created in sequence and are non-unique
• Species names are preserved
• Verbose and Debug output mode to help diagnose problems
• Complete options for transient data
• Time is handled correctly.  Solution time can be read from each .cas file or can be calculated using a single delta and the file number offset

• Uncompresses Gzipped files on the fly: 5x to 13x gzipped and 2x to 6x not gzipped, this feature is faster using metadata files
• Complete listing of variables and which parts they are defined on
• Load only one part and color by variable

2. Select the 'FLUENT Beta' reader in the Format pulldown on the data reader dialog
