Actran Visualization

Actran software from Free Field Technologies is used for industrial acoustics simulation.

The latest version of Actran now imports the EnSight format directly, i.e. an option is provided in ACTRAN to read data which is in EnSight Case format into ACTRAN.

Typically ACTRAN customers will run a CFD analysis, export the results into EnSight format for their visualization, and they will then be able to import these results to use them (as an excitation) in their acoustic ACTRAN computations. For instance, the CFD code will export the velocity at each time step on all grip points in EnSight format and ACTRAN will use these velocities as the acoustic sources for an ACTRAN computation.
