EnSight CAD file importers

EnSight CAD importers allow you to access native CAD files without the use of the original CAD system. Importers allow you to open and read files from the major CAD systems, display the major CAD files, and export these files into EnSight's EnLiten .els and Reveal .csf file formats.

CEI has added several newly supported CAD formats, see list below.  We have leveraged technology from CAD market leader, Dassault Systemes’ Spatial, to ensure the quality of CAD file conversion. Uses for CAD models:

• Walk through industrial plans and facilities with EnSight's spline controlled cameras
• Add context to a simulation model using the CAD model rather than a simplified mesh
• Animate the movements of a CAD assembly using EnSight's keyframe animation
• Compare a CAD model to a simplified simulation mesh
• Display CAD models on your Virtual Reality CAVE or PowerWall for team reviews

*CATIA V5 is available only on Windows 32-bit and 64-bit.

*Unigraphics is available on Windows 32-bit, Windows 64-bit, and Linux 2.6 32-bit.
*Parasolid is available on Windows 32-bit, Windows 64-bit, Mac Intel 32-bit, and Linux 2.6 32-bit.
*SolidWorks is available on Windows 32-bit, and Windows 64-bit.
All the CAD translators require Linux 2.6 RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 or better.
Mac support is only available for Intel processors.
