EnSight products support all major hardware platforms, and all popular CAE programs. EnSight can be run as a standalone application or distributed across multiple platforms. The EnSight client process typically runs on the user's desktop. The EnSight server can also run on the same desktop system, or run on a compute or data server, typically where the data in question resides. While in most instances both the client and server will be run on the same desktop system, the user is free to distribute processing if needed. This permits efficient desktop visualization even when the data is at a geographically remote location. Cross platform (i.e. Windows/Unix/Linux) distribution is also possible. EnSight 9 graphics performance benchmark tests are available in this QuickTool.
