Notes:

Floating licenses: all licenses work across local area networks. 

Support & Maintenance (S&M): Includes all new versions, releases and needed bug fixes, licensing support, and license key changes, as well as Hotline support.  Perpetual Licenses include S&M in the first year of software use. S&M in subsequent years may be purchased at 20% of the current perpetual license price. Annual Licenses include Support & Maintenance Service.

Support is provided to 3 named individuals specified in the license profile. All other software users of the Class License will receive support via these individuals. CEI recommends the IT department or main department users experienced with EnSight be named as these individuals. These named individuals can be updated each semester.

Training: introductory and advanced training courses are offered at CEI headquarters in Apex, NC. Training courses can be arranged at the customer site. See our training page for details, or contact your EnSight representative for more information.

*NOTE: All new customers who purchase an EnSight Class license must attend a training class in the first year of software use, or have received a waiver from our Development team.

Macintosh, Windows, Linux, UNIX:  EnSight supports Windows NT/2000/XP, Linux, Macintosh, and UNIX platforms.  All licenses are floating which means they can be installed and run on any computer in the local network.  Floating licenses work on any platform and any mix of platform types.  EnSight is licensed by the client. The EnSight server application is not licensed and can be installed and run on any computer in the local network or even across a wide area network.

Academic licenses: academic licenses are available for degree-granting Universities. Academic licenses may be used solely for teaching purposes or degree-related, non-contract research. Commercial licenses are not available.

Up to 20 Seats are available as long as all computers are attached to the University network directly or via VPN.
