DirectShow for Windows
DirectShow Plug-in allows Windows Media Player based applications to
read and display the .evo file format. Applications that work with
DirectShow include Windows Media Player and PowerPoint.

These components support stereo movies. allowing you to use popular
editing tools to add effects and transitions to your stereo movies.
Additionally, you can read in MTM or Multi Tiled Movies, allowing you
to easily preview a movie before loading it on your display wall, or to
easily re-assemble an existing MTM and convert to another format.
EVO Animation File Library
Now you can read or write .evo movies directly from your own
applications with the .evo library. This library is an open source
Application Programming Interface (API) that allows you to write .evo
files from your own software.
The .evo format is CEI's open video output file format. The .evo
movie's ease of use and compact and portable file format make it ideal for engineering and scientific animations.
The .evo format offers both lossy and loss-less compression, allowing a
choice between image fidelity and file size. The EVO format also offers
support for stereoscopic animations, which may be played in CEI's
EnVideo.
