EnVe - edit your videos PDF Print E-mail

downloadenve EnVe is a general purpose animation post-processing tool. It can be used to create industry standard animation files (e.g. AVI, MPEG, QuickTime, Flash, etc) from collections of individual image and movie files. Functions are provided to temporally crop and resize video sequences as well as perform simple fades and pauses. The editor can be run in interactive mode or scripted using an enhanced Python command language. EnVe allows users to convert imagery between various movie and image file formats on all platforms. EnVe provides multi-tile support for cluster-based display of high-resolution animation using EnVideo Gold and support for stereoscopic animation conversions.

EVO QuickTime Component for Windows and Macintosh

Adding value to the mainstream tools used in nonlinear video editing
EVO for QuickTime allows you to import and export .evo files with any application supporting the QuickTime framework.

On Windows this includes:

  • QuickTime
  • Adobe AfterEffects
  • and more…

On the Macintosh the following video software applications are supported:

  • Final Cut Pro
  • Final Cut Express
  • iMovie
  • QuickTime
  • Finder
  • Keynote
  • and more…

These components support stereo movies. Stereo movies are imported with the left and right frames side by side, creating one large image. When exported as stereo, the movie is split in the same way and written to disk as left and right frames. This allows you to use popular editing tools to add effects and transitions to your stereo movies.

Additionally, you can read in MTM or Multi Tiled Movies. This allows you to easily preview a movie before loading it on your display wall or to easily re-assemble an existing MTM and convert to another format.

EVO Animation File Library
Now you can read or write .evo movies directly from your own applications with the .evo library.  This library is an open source Application Programming Interface (API) that allows you to write .evo files from your own software.

The .evo format is CEI's open video output file format.  The .evo movie's ease of use and compact and portable file format make it ideal for engineering and scientific animations.  The .evo format offers both lossy and loss-less compression, allowing a choice between image fidelity and file size. The EVO format also offers support for stereoscopic animations, which may be played in CEI's EnVideo.
