CEI has added new capability to our LS-DYNA reader external X Y data
interface. We are now able to read 3 new external datasets into EnSight. These datasets include glstat (global energy, velocity,
momentum, etc), matsum (part by part energy, velocity, momentum), and
abstat (airbag).
Read below on how easy it is to load LS-DYNA data into EnSight:
- In the File menu select Open
- Select the results file, usually this is named "d3plot"
- Choose the 'Format Options' tab and choose your XY data file name
- Click OK and the model loads into EnSight with the XY data loaded in as a query
- Select the queries that you wish to plot
Why LS-DYNA users prefer EnSight:
- Easy to learn interface
- Use as a standard post-processor for all CAE needs
- New! Support for time-history ASCII files
- Direct reader for d3plot files
- Excellent animation capabilities
- No data conversion or storage in another format
- Support for very large models
- Support for a large number of time steps
- Output in AVI, MPEG, VRML, STL or image formats
- Batch files, macros, templates and preferences supported
- Windows and Unix file conversions on the fly
- Failed elements supported
- Virtual Reality and stereo graphics
- Powerful fluids and fluid-structure interaction capabilities
- Compare up to 16 cases at the same time
- Reads Big or Little Endian files, where big-endian means big
units first and little-endian means little units first; and swaps bytes
automatically if needed
- Reads binary files with 32-bit or 64-bit word size automatically
- Element-based displayed as element variables
- Properly inputs Quad4 rigid elements
- Bar2 extra variables are now included
- Properly inputs elements with zero variables
- Properly reads pre LS-DYNA-960 files
- When one or more d3plot files are missing, reads are terminated using last full state data
