CEI Implements New Bug Tracking System
CEI has implemented a bug/change tracking system on
the open-source Bugzilla code using the Mozilla bug system. For more information
about what Bugzilla is and what it can do, see http://www.bugzilla.org.
To use the database, simply go to CEI's support
section and go to Change Log.
Bugs are entered when they are discovered through internal testing,
customer reports via email (support@ensight.com),
or by phone
(1-800-551-4448). Change entries result from internal discussion,
customer suggestions, or scheduled improvements. This means a customer
can now report a bug, determine when it gets resolved, and download the
version of the code with the fix.
Following are several examples of questions about using the new bug/change
tracking system:
Q. What should I do to find all the bugs/changes between EnSight 7.6.2(d)
and the next release?
A. Click on Product EnSight, Target 7.6.2(d) and
Status, select all entries. Click search.
Q. What should I do to find all the bugs with keyword CFD?
A. Enter CFD in the box beside Summary, select everything
under
Status, and click search. Note: the drop-down list allows
you to
vary the search from all the words to any of the words, and many other
options.
Q. What should I do to find all EnVideo 2 bugs?
A. Click Envideo under Products and select 2.0 under
Version.
Select everything under Status or leave the default selection to
see
only bugs that have not been fixed. Click search to see your results.
On the search results page, the ID for each bug is linked to a full
report, including platforms affected and a more detailed description.
