Finding information about EnSight just became easier with the Resources section of EnSight.com. This newly launched area of the site features information that both new EnSight users and veterans can utilize to take full advantage of the software. Users can search Resources by keyword, data format, industry, product, resource type and more. The Resources section of EnSight.com features:

Assets and Downloads

Assets and Downloads from EnSight can help you get started on any CFD challenge. These resources include:

  • Downloadable Tools and Scripts
  • Downloadable PDFs
  • Brochures
  • Materials from EnSight Conferences
  • Sales and Webinar Presentations

Videos

The Resources section now houses EnSight’s entire library of videos, including our favorite visualizations, webinars and helpful tips from the CEI Staff.

Tutorials

support.ensight.com is EnSight’s home for support documentation. However, a select group of tutorials are now available in article format in the resources section. These tutorials focus on specific techniques for performing tasks in EnSight or for using EnSight with various data formats.

EnSight is committed to providing helpful resources and documentation for our users. We hope you will keep visiting the resource library over time as we continue to add new documentation and materials and work to improve the search and filtering features.

Thank you for your continued support of EnSight.

CEI Hosts India Conference

In February, CEI India hosted a conference for EnSight and CONVERGE users in the region. The conference was hosted over three days and drew more than 50 attendees. If you missed this, or any of our conferences, we hope you will stay tuned to EnSight.com and join us at our next one!

EnSight Conference

Our EnSight conference brought a mix of Indian and multi-national companies such as GM, GE, Mercedes, Cummins, John Deere and more for a day filled with presentations and learning opportunities. The theme of this year’s conference was “Automation” with speakers giving interactive presentations on python scripts and other automation techniques for EnSight. CEI India also showed demonstrations of animations within the EnSight software.

EnSight Training

We had almost 35 trainees attend our “Automation Training” event during the CEI India Conference. Bill Dunn from CEI USA provided hands-on examples of how engineers can easily reduce their post-processing time by using Python.

CONVERGE Conference

The final day of our conference was focused on the CONVERGE Solver, hosted by CEI India, who also distributes the CONVERGE product. Presentations were focused on internal combustion engine modeling using the CONVERGE solver, as well as integrations with EnSight Desktop for CONVERGE, which is free with a CONVERGE license.

Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s conference. We look forward to meeting you again at future conferences through CEI Software!

EnSight Announces Case Linking

EnSight, the leading post-processor for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) data, has announced a new case linking feature that enables product designers and engineers to dramatically streamline their simulation process.

EnSight provides the largest set of features of any visualization or post-processing tool for CFD solvers on the market. This powerful software allows users to display and document information from a wide variety of data formats.

With EnSight’s new case linking feature, engineers can now instantly visualize the impact of design changes on multiple datasets simultaneously.

For example, an automotive designer can use EnSight to experiment with how various changes to the shape of a car body will impact aerodynamics and fuel efficiency. In the past, engineers would have to run those visualization scenarios in sequence, which was time consuming, labor intensive and prone to error.  The ability to instantly test and experiment with an idea across multiple data sets was just not possible.

Now, using case linking, engineers and product designers can follow a train of thought and instantly see the impact of those changes in four different view ports at the same time. “So far, I’ve found case linking very useful in saving a lot of time when creating duplicate post-processing efforts,” said Jennie Zheng, R&D Modeling and Simulation Process Development Engineer for Proctor and Gamble.

“We’re excited about the impact case linking will have on our users,” said Anders Grimsrud, President of CEI Software. “Since the beginning, EnSight has been about helping engineers make decisions more effectively. I believe that, using this new feature, engineers will not only be able to make faster decisions about their data, but better decisions as well.”

Case linking is available in EnSight version 10.1 and higher. Click here to learn more about this feature.

EnSight Speaker’s Bureau

Our customers are using EnSight to design future jet cars, make boats more maneuverable, make engines more efficient, and guide doctors in the understanding of blood flow.

So we’re begging you to consider registering as a potential user meeting speaker.  Just send us an email to marketing at ensight.com.  Emailing only expresses interest – not commitment.  We often have budget to help provide travel expenses.

Past presenters:

Darren Grove from Boeing spoke in Tokyo at our Japanese EnSight Forum on the work on the North American Eagle attempt to break the world record for fastest car in an all volunteer team.

Andrew Hobbs from Astec spoke at our Japan EnSight Forum in 2016 about using EnSight visualize Fluent-EDEM coupled simulations of road making material handling.

Satish Kumar from Wood Rodger spoke at our Japan EnSight forum in 2012 about using EnSight for flooding simulation visualization.

Would you like an expense-paid trip to Japan to show of your work with EnSight?
